Auggle AI Privacy Policy

Last Updated: 4 August 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Auggle AI ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use the Auggle AI mobile applications for iOS and Android (the "App") and our website at https://auggle.ai (together, the "Service").

The data controller is Auggle AI Ltd, a private company registered in the Dubai International Financial Centre under commercial licence number CL9995, whose registered address is GA-00-SZ-L1-RT-208, Level 1, Gate Avenue - South Zone, Dubai International Financial Centre, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. For any privacy question or request, contact us at support@auggle.ai.

1. Scope

This Policy covers the App and our website. It does not cover third-party services you reach through the Service, which have their own policies. By using the Service you acknowledge this Policy. Where we rely on your consent (for example for precise location or microphone access), you may withdraw it at any time in your device's settings.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information you provide

2.2 Precise location

With your permission, the App collects your device's precise location while you are using it. We use location for the core features of the Service, not only when you post. Specifically:

Location associated with a post you publish becomes part of that public post. We do not collect location when the App is not in use, and the App does not run background location tracking. You can revoke location access at any time in your device's settings, though most features will not work without it.

2.3 Camera and augmented reality data

With your permission, the App uses your camera to detect shops and storefronts and to display augmented reality content. Camera frames are processed on your device, and selected frames or crops (for example of a shop sign) are sent to our servers and to third-party AI providers so that text can be read and the place identified. See Section 4. The App also reads your device's motion sensors (such as the accelerometer and gyroscope), and on iOS the ARKit scene-geometry data, in order to place augmented reality content correctly and to detect when the device is being moved. This sensor data is processed on your device and is not sent to us.

2.4 Microphone and voice

With your permission, the App uses your microphone so you can ask questions by voice and so that videos you record include sound. Speech is converted to text by your device's platform speech recognition service: Apple's speech recognition on iOS, and Google's speech recognition on Android. On iOS the App requests on-device recognition where the device supports it; where on-device recognition is unavailable, the audio is processed on Apple's or Google's servers under their respective privacy policies. The resulting text may then be sent to an AI provider to generate an answer (Section 4).

2.5 Purchases and subscriptions

Paid subscriptions are currently offered in the iOS app only. Where you subscribe to Auggle Pro, the app store (Apple or Google) processes the payment. We never receive your card number or payment details. We receive and store a record of your entitlement (whether the subscription is active, which plan, and the expiry date) linked to your account, together with the transaction identifier the app store provides, so we can unlock paid features and validate the subscription with that store.

2.6 Device, notification, and usage information

2.7 Referral information

The referral programme is currently offered in the iOS app only. If you use it, we process the referral link you used, the fact that an install or sign-up was attributed to a referring user, and the resulting credit. Referral links are handled by our deep-linking provider (Section 6), which may process technical device and install signals to match a link to an install.

2.8 Wallet and tokens

If you choose to link a Solana wallet, you do so on our website, where we store the public address you provide against your account, together with your reward records. We do not create wallets, and we never receive, store, or ask for a private key or recovery phrase. Wallet linking is not available in the iOS or Android apps.

2.9 Moderation information

When you report content or block a user, we record the report (including the reason and the content reported) and the block, together with your account identifier, so we can act on it, prevent repeat abuse, and keep a record of enforcement decisions.

2.10 Likes and your interests

When you like a post, we record that like against your account. We use your likes — together with the places, businesses, and categories those posts relate to, and the general areas where you use the App — to build a picture of the kinds of places and topics you are interested in. We call this your interest profile. It is an inference we draw; you do not enter it, and it is not shown to other users.

We use the interest profile to decide what to show you and in what order, so that your feed and recommendations lean towards things you are more likely to care about. Section 3 explains this in more detail, including how to object to it.

Personalisation and your interests

We tailor what you see. Rather than showing every nearby post in a fixed order, we rank and filter content using signals that include the posts you have liked, the places and categories those posts relate to, the locality you are in, and how recent a post is. Over time this means two people standing in the same street may see a different feed.

This is profiling as that term is used in data protection law, and we rely on our legitimate interest in making the Service useful. It affects only what content is shown to you and in what order. It does not affect your legal rights, what you are charged, or your access to any part of the Service, and we do not use it to make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about you by automated means alone.

You can object. If you do not want us to tailor content using your interest profile, email support@auggle.ai and we will stop and delete the profile; your feed will then be ordered by proximity and recency alone. You can also delete individual likes at any time by unliking the post, which removes them from the signals we use.

We do not deliberately infer sensitive characteristics — such as health, religion, sexual orientation, political opinion, or ethnicity — from your likes, and we do not use any such inference to tailor your content or share it with anyone. We do not sell your interest profile, use it for third-party advertising, or use your content to train our own foundation models.

4. Artificial Intelligence Processing

Several features of the Service are powered by artificial intelligence. Some of that processing happens on your device, and some requires sending data to servers we operate or to third-party AI providers.

We send only the data needed for the feature to work — typically an image or crop of a storefront or sign, and your question text. We do not send your account credentials, your email address, or your contact details to these providers, and we do not ask them to identify individual people. Images captured in public places may nevertheless incidentally contain people or vehicles. Each provider processes the data under its own terms as our processor or service provider; these providers are located in the United States and other countries (see Section 7).

AI output can be wrong. Section 3.2 of our Terms and Conditions explains the limits of AI-generated answers.

5. Information Other Users Can See

The Service is a sharing platform. Unless a feature says otherwise, the following are visible to other signed-in users of the Service: your handle, your profile picture and profile details, your posts (including photos, videos, and text), your questions and answers, and the approximate location attached to a post.

This content is visible to other users in the App, and also on a profile page at https://auggle.ai/@yourhandle on our website. That page requires the visitor to sign in, and it is marked to be excluded from search engine indexing, so it is not intended to be reachable by the general public or to appear in search results.

Please treat anything you post as visible to a wide audience even so. Other signed-in users can copy, screenshot, or re-share your content, which is outside our control. Do not post your home address, your exact location while you are there, or anything else that could put you or another person at risk. If we ever make profile pages viewable without signing in, we will update this Policy and tell you before that change takes effect.

Your email address, your linked wallet address, your precise location outside of what you post, your purchase records, and your device identifiers are not public.

6. Who We Share Information With

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as described here:

Our service providers act on our instructions under contracts requiring them to protect your information and to use it only for the purposes we specify.

7. International Transfers

We operate globally. Your information is stored and processed in Amazon Web Services regions including the United States, and content you post may be stored in the AWS region closest to where it was created. Our AI providers process data in the United States and other countries. These countries may not provide the same level of data protection as your own.

Where we transfer personal data out of the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on appropriate safeguards, including the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK Addendum where applicable). You can request a copy of the relevant safeguards by emailing support@auggle.ai.

8. How Long We Keep Information

We may keep information for longer where we are legally required to, or where we need it to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

9. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest for stored content, scoped credentials for access to storage, and authentication managed by Amazon Cognito. We never receive or store wallet private keys or recovery phrases, because we do not provide a wallet — you supply only a public address. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your personal information and is likely to result in a high risk to your rights, we will notify you and the relevant supervisory authority as required by law.

10. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

To exercise any of these rights, email support@auggle.ai from the address associated with your account. We will respond within the period required by applicable law (generally one month under the GDPR, 45 days under California law). We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

11. Deleting Your Account

You can delete your account at any time from within the App, in your profile settings. If you no longer have the App installed or cannot sign in, you can request deletion at auggle.ai/delete-account, which also sets out step-by-step instructions for each platform and exactly what is deleted and what is retained. We verify every request and action it within 30 days. Deleting your account removes your profile, your handle, and your posts from the Service, and starts the deletion process described in Section 8.

Please note: deleting your account does not cancel an Auggle Pro subscription purchased through an app store. To stop future charges you must also cancel the subscription in your Apple ID account settings or in Google Play. Content that other users have already downloaded or re-shared, and records we are required to keep by law, may persist after deletion.

12. California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, gives you the rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out described in Section 10. In the preceding 12 months we have collected the following categories of personal information: identifiers, customer records, commercial information (subscription records), internet or network activity, precise geolocation, audio and visual information (photos, videos, and voice input), and inferences drawn from place, content, and like data, including an interest profile used to tailor what you see. Each category is collected for the purposes set out in Section 3 and shared with the categories of recipients set out in Section 6.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age. Because we do not sell or share, we do not offer a "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link; you may still exercise your other rights by emailing us. You may use an authorised agent to make a request on your behalf, with proof of authorisation.

13. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. In the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom the minimum age is 16, unless local law permits a lower age with parental consent. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact support@auggle.ai and we will delete it promptly.

14. Notifications and Communications

We may send you service messages relating to your account, security, and purchases; these are not marketing and you cannot opt out of them while you hold an account. Push notifications are optional and can be turned off in your device's settings. If we send marketing emails, every one will include an unsubscribe link.

15. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The App does not use cookies. Our website uses strictly necessary storage only: when you sign in on the website, our identity provider (Amazon Cognito) stores authentication tokens in your browser so you stay signed in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not run third-party advertising trackers on our website.

16. Third-Party Links and Services

The Service may contain links to third-party websites, businesses, or services that we do not operate. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, and this Policy does not apply to them.

17. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will change the "Last Updated" date above and, where the change is significant, notify you in the App or by email before it takes effect. Your continued use of the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Policy.
