Child safety standards
Auggle AI's standards for preventing child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), how to report it, and what we do when it is reported.
1. Zero tolerance
Auggle prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation material and conduct. This prohibition is unconditional. It applies to every part of the Service — posts, photos, videos, shop names, shop descriptions, questions and answers — and to every user, without exception and regardless of context, intent or claimed purpose.
Accounts found to be involved in CSAE are terminated. There is no warning step and no appeal to a first offence.
2. How we prevent it
Content is screened automatically before and after it reaches the Service. This describes the system as it actually runs, not an intention.
Text, before it is published
Post captions, shop names and shop descriptions are screened before the content is written to our database. Two systems run in parallel and either one can block:
- Amazon Bedrock Guardrails, which evaluates the text against a configured content policy.
- A separate classifier that reads non-English text. This exists because a guardrail alone performed poorly on languages other than English, which for our users is not an edge case. Sexual content involving minors is a blocking category for this classifier in every language it reads.
If either blocks a shop name, the entire request is rejected and no shop and no post are created.
Images and video, after upload
Photos are screened by a second pass after they are uploaded. Videos are screened via their thumbnail frame. Sexually explicit imagery is a blocking category.
Stated precisely: the thumbnail is what is analysed for a video, not every frame of it. We record that distinction internally so a screening result is never taken to mean more than it does.
What happens to blocked content
Content that is blocked is hidden from all users. It does not appear in any feed, on any shop page, or in any answer.
3. How to report
In the app
Content reported this way is hidden immediately, on the first report, pending review — it does not wait for other users to report it.
By email
You can report directly to support@auggle.ai at any time, whether or not you have the app installed and whether or not you have an account.
Reports reach us in real time. A report raises an alert the moment it is submitted, identifying it as a child safety report specifically, so it is not queued behind routine reports.
4. What happens next
- Review. Reported content is reviewed by a person.
- Removal. Offending content is removed from the Service.
- Termination. The account responsible is terminated.
- Reporting. We report to the relevant national authorities, and preserve the associated material and account records where we are required to do so.
Consistent with Section 5.2 of our Terms and Conditions, we aim to review reports, remove offending content and eject the users responsible within 24 hours of a report being made. Content reported as a child safety concern is withheld from view immediately while that review takes place.
5. Point of contact
support@auggle.ai is our designated point of contact for child safety and CSAM prevention enquiries, including from regulators, law enforcement and child protection organisations.
This address is monitored and is the same one that receives child safety reports raised in the app.
6. Compliance
Auggle AI complies with applicable child safety laws in the jurisdictions where the Service is available, and reports child sexual abuse material to the relevant regional and national authorities.
These standards are published here, publicly and without a login, as our CSAE standards under Google Play's child safety standards policy.
